Concrete floor slabs fit together neatly again
At Van Adrichem Nurseries in Steenbergen, subsidence was causing considerable disruption. Concrete floor slabs were uneven, causing the automatically controlled tomato trolleys to regularly derail. Thanks to the URETEK FloorLift® method, this problem was resolved within a few hours.
Managing Director Geert van Adrichem: “The subsidence was getting worse and worse, and at one point the uneven floor even caused tomato trolleys to derail. That caused considerable delays, so we wanted to take swift action. We’d already had a similar problem sorted out by URETEK about seven years ago. We were completely satisfied with that. That’s why we got in touch with them again.”
Quickly resolved
“It was urgent, but that proved to be no problem for URETEK,” continues Geert van Adrichem. “An employee came round quickly to assess the situation and draw up a quote. And within eight days, URETEK’s specialists arrived to sort it out. After the preparatory work – such as drilling holes to inject the resin under the floor – the concrete slabs were lifted within a quarter of an hour.”
Hardly any disruption
“During the work, we temporarily halted the automated transport system or diverted it to another track. This caused hardly any disruption. What’s more, we were able to put the repaired track back into use within half an hour. The subsidence has been completely eliminated and the difference in height between the sections has been neatly levelled out. We are therefore very pleased with the result.”
