Peter Bruel
Excavation work for a new sewer system caused a wall in a Breda home to subside. The door would no longer open and cracks had appeared in the wall. The problem was resolved using the URETEK DeepInjection® method.
Homeowner Peter Bruel explains: “It was a really unpleasant situation. The front door suddenly wouldn’t open, a large crack had appeared where the ceiling meets the wall, and the side wall had subsided by about a centimetre. What’s more, a crack of about one centimetre was visible in a joint on the outside. I had the trench that had been dug – fortunately, the new sewer pipe was already in place – filled in straight away to prevent further damage.”
Impressive
“We came across URETEK through an acquaintance of the neighbour,” continues Peter Bruel. “A consultant came to take a look and indicated that their soil stabilisation method could provide a solution here. We therefore quickly made an appointment to have the repair work carried out. The work itself took about half a day. It was impressive to see how the wall eventually rose again. It was raised by about 80 per cent; quite an achievement!”
Worked with care
“It’s reassuring to know that the house is now standing firmly again. The URETEK team worked neatly and with care. A door sill did break during the work, but that can happen and isn’t a big deal. During the grouting and lifting, they kept a very close eye on everything using various measurements. True craftsmanship. It felt very reassuring right from the start and I’m extremely satisfied with the result.”
