A great project in Luxembourg
An industrial floor that is walked on by many employees and over which forklift trucks transport high-quality products must, of course, be completely level. At the Luxembourg-based company Textilcord, this was no longer the case due to subsidence. URETEK came to the rescue.
Patrick Haeck, who was involved in this project on behalf of URETEK, explains: “Textilcord was struggling with subsidence of up to 20 mm. This was a nuisance and posed a potential tripping hazard for staff. The company had already carried out some repairs itself, but the floor panels continued to move whenever a forklift truck drove over them. To level the floor properly once and for all, URETEK was called in.”
Another job
“Using URETEK’s two-component resin, the difference in level was neatly eliminated across hundreds of metres of flooring,” Patrick Haeck continues. “The client is therefore very satisfied with the result. Whilst we were there, we also sorted out another minor issue. On the site, there was a plastic storage tank containing formaldehyde standing on the concrete floor. The cold floor had caused crystallisation in the tank’s contents. The tank was emptied; we placed wooden blocks underneath it and filled the space with resin. In this way, we provided insulation and a new foundation in one go: the ideal solution. It just goes to show that URETEK resin is suitable for many purposes!”
