Sportbedrijf Katwijk called in URETEK to repair the floor of the sports hall. It had subsided by up to 130 millimetres in places. This means that a ball no longer stays still.
A 13-centimetre drop across a 1,200 m² floor may not be immediately visible to the naked eye. However, it does have consequences. The difference can affect a match, and that cannot be the intention. A sports floor must be perfectly level to give everyone a level playing field.
Precise restoration
Sportbedrijf Katwijk therefore commissioned the restoration of the sports hall’s uneven floor. Fortunately, with our unique URETEK FloorLift® method, we can work with millimetre precision. Holes were drilled into the sports floor according to a precisely calculated injection plan. The expanding synthetic resins were then injected using injection lances. With a resin that reacts faster than the average sprinter, we are able to dose it with great precision. We use laser equipment to measure when the floor is completely stable again.
A sporting achievement
Our team has achieved a fine feat, if we may say so ourselves: the work was completed in just five days. For us, it’s a challenge to consistently stay within the tight schedule whilst still delivering a high-quality result.
