The concrete floor of a chemist’s in Genemuiden had a troublesome dip in the middle of the shop, caused by subsidence. This was dangerous, as shoppers could trip over it. The problem was neatly resolved using the URETEK FloorLift® method.
The owner of the chemist’s had already considered various solutions, such as breaking up the floor and installing new foundation piles. These were costly measures, which he was reluctant to undertake. When he asked Geert Beugeling – owner of Beugeling Bouwinspect – for advice, he came up with a different solution: the URETEK FloorLift® method.
Hollow space filled
“I often work with URETEK, and it’s always a very pleasant experience,” says Geert Beugeling. “Fortunately, URETEK was also able to provide support on this project. There was a void beneath the shop floor, meaning that part of the floor had no support and had therefore subsided. URETEK filled this hollow space perfectly, ensuring the shop floor was once again perfectly level. It was quicker and cheaper than the other options available to the shop owner.”
A brilliant result
“I’ve seen it happen before, but it’s still wonderful to watch a floor slowly rise again. The client is very satisfied; he thinks the result is brilliant. And so do I, of course. We’ve already got another project lined up with URETEK!”
