The URETEK method is quicker and ultimately cheaper
Several floors in Raab Karcher’s storage facility in Vriezenveen had subsided as a result of ground settlement. This had created an unsafe situation that needed to be rectified quickly. A stable solution was achieved in just half a day using the URETEK FloorLift® method.
Jan Koppelman, deputy director of logistics at Raab Karcher, explains: “Some floor sections differed in height by around three centimetres. This was an unsafe situation, particularly for forklift drivers who are unfamiliar with the site and who load and unload materials from racking at height. That is why we wanted to find a solution as quickly as possible.”
A good choice
“We’d already requested a quote for cutting out the sunken floor panels, compacting the sub-base and replacing it with a precast concrete floor, when I heard someone talking about URETEK. Coincidence or not: a few days later, I received a mailing from URETEK. I rang them straight away to discuss our problem and request a quote. It turned out to be a good choice.”
Highly recommended
“Thanks to the URETEK FloorLift method, the original floor could be preserved, without any sawing or other major interventions,” continues Jan Koppelman. “What’s more, this method is much quicker: within half a day, the floors were perfectly level again and we could resume using them to their full capacity. All in all, it was a lot cheaper than not being able to work in those halls for a week! I’m very pleased with this solution; I’d definitely recommend it to companies with a similar problem!”
