Working safely again without noise pollution
Concrete industrial floors that are becoming increasingly uneven – and therefore more dangerous. At Twinpack in Noordwijkerhout, a wholesaler of shipping packaging, they know all about it. The URETEK FloorLift® method provided the solution – no fewer than three times!
“In some places, the floors had sagged so much that significant thresholds had formed at the doors: up to 2.5 centimetres,” explains Rob van der Geer of Twinpack. “Not only was that unsafe for our forklift drivers, but it also caused noise nuisance. We’d already tried to level out the unevenness with epoxy resin and by welding steel plates over the top, but that all turned out to be a stopgap.”
Test case
In his search for a better solution, Rob van der Geer came across URETEK online: “That sounded promising. To see if this was the solution, we first carried out a test case on one of our floor sections. It went so well that we’ve since had URETEK fix three instances of subsidence, near overhead doors and dock shelters. All with the same perfect result.”
Smooth and efficient
“The URETEK staff work in a very organised and swift manner,” continues Rob van der Geer. “It all went very smoothly and efficiently. The floor is perfectly level again in all the areas that were treated. An optimal result with minimal disruption: no more jolts when driving over it and no noise nuisance. I’m very pleased with the outcome: we should have done this much sooner!”
