The FloorLift® method gives your floor a brand-new look
The 250 m² floor of the compressor room at Logoplaste in Elst had suffered considerably under the weight of heavy machinery, totalling around thirty tonnes. The result: subsidence of no less than 16 cm. URETEK quickly provided a solution: thanks to the URETEK FloorLift® method, the problem was resolved in two days.
“We operate 24/7 at our site to manufacture PET bottles for ketchup and other sauces,” explains Henk Hissink, engineering manager at Logoplaste. “Closing the factory for a few weeks to lay a new floor was therefore not an option. So when I read about URETEK’s method for quickly rectifying subsidence, we contacted them straight away, explained the problem and asked for advice.”
Day 1: 80% lifted
“At the start of this year, we had the opportunity to halt the production process for two eight-hour periods. We removed all movable items from the room, but left the heavy equipment in place. That was no problem for URETEK’s powerful resin: on the first day, 80 per cent of the subsided floor area was lifted very gradually. The remaining 20 per cent followed on the second day.”
Fully rectified
“The floor is now back to its original level throughout and looks as good as new,” says Henk Hissink. “We are therefore extremely pleased with the result! Everything went perfectly according to plan and the subsidence has been fully corrected, despite the heavy machinery standing on it. The next job for UTRETEK – raising the floor of the adjoining room – is already scheduled. That says it all!”
