Lifting of subsided concrete slabs, tarmac roads and engineering structures

Subsided concrete slabs, subsided asphalt roads and subsidence of engineering structures – such as abutments on bridges and viaducts – can lead to serious traffic disruption and hazardous situations. The URETEK FloorLift® method allows these subsidence issues to be rectified quickly, cost-effectively and without causing significant disruption to traffic. In the case of tarmac roads, it is essential that the tarmac layer is of sufficient thickness for this operation.

The URETEK FloorLift® method is the ideal solution for lifting subsided road surfaces:

  • major interventions such as breaking up or resurfacing the asphalt are not required;
  • the subsided road surface can be restored to exactly the correct height within a short time.

Underfilling and lifting of subsided road sections and engineering structures

When repairing the subsidence, we ensure that the road section is underfilled and, where possible, raised. By injecting high-strength expanding resin beneath the concrete slab, significant upward pressure is generated, bringing the subsided road surface back to the correct level. This injection method is extremely precise and can be controlled to the nearest millimetre.

Foundation repair using URETEK’s DeepInjection® or HybridInjection® methods

Using the URETEK DeepInjection® method and the URETEK HybridInjection® method, we can help prevent future subsidence.

If the ground beneath foundations can no longer adequately support the structures above, or if it settles for any reason, intervention is necessary. Using our specialist DeepInjection® and HybridInjection® methods, we can correct subsided foundations and provide adequate support to prevent damage to floors, walls and façades.

DeepInjection®

With the DeepInjection® method, a specially developed two-component expansion resin is applied via targeted soil injections directly beneath the subsided foundation. This composite product expands with great force, compacting and reinforcing the ground beneath the foundation. This restores the bearing capacity of the ground beneath the subsided foundation.

HybridInjection®

URETEK has developed the HybridInjection® method specifically for stabilising subsided and unstable foundations on soft clay and peat layers. This patented injection technique makes it possible to reinforce soil layers – which are not normally suitable for treatment using soil injection techniques –
